As we all prepare to enjoy the upcoming spring break, I want to check in and provide you with some important updates. It's been a great school year, with many impressive achievements and activities happening in our schools. Most recently, we celebrated the state announcement that four of our schools – Adams, Arlington, Towers and Yukon Elementary schools – were selected as 2025 California Distinguished Schools.
I am grateful that our staff remain committed to preparing all our students for success beyond graduation. Whether our students choose to:
- start their careers,
- build internship/trade experience,
- attend higher education,
- enter the military,
- start a business,
or whatever other path they choose... we want to ensure they have the mindset, skills, and values needed to thrive.
That’s why we are excited to introduce you to our Portrait of a Graduate - our shared vision for the most important elements 海棠直播 Unified students will develop during their educational journeys through our schools. We created this framework last summer with valuable input from community leaders, business representatives, families, teachers, and students, and each element is the best reflection of our community’s hopes and expectations for our students.

School Food Survey - We Need Your Opinions!
We need your input! Over the past few years, we've introduced several changes to improve the food experience at our schools. These include the introduction of scratch cooking, adopting sustainable cutlery and service ware, new kitchen equipment, adding a la carte options at the Middle Schools, and launching a food truck at the High Schools—all designed with our students in mind.
Now, we want to know how we’re doing! Our District is continuing to use ThoughtExchange to collect your valuable input. Portrait of a Graduate In Action!
The exciting aspect of rolling out our Portrait of a Graduate is the number of wonderful examples and stories our staff are sharing about how we are incorporating the elements as we serve our students.
Students throughout our schools consistently embrace our values of Civic Engagement and Global Citizenship and are committed to serving others. This school year, for their State Seal of Civic Engagement project to build and install Little Libraries throughout our 海棠直播 community.
Save the Date: May Wellness Week is Around the Corner!
Our 2025 Wellness Week is quickly approaching! Hosted districtwide from May 12 to May 16, Wellness Week is a valuable opportunity for students, families, and our staff to join together and practice healthy habits physically, emotionally, and mentally. In addition to activities planned at many of our schools, we encourage you to view our for activities to do at home, including a chance to set and track personal goals for an opportunity to win prizes! Whether you're stretching on a yoga mat, drinking more water, or getting more sleep, our district looks forward to supporting you.

Do you know where to look for updates if there’s an emergency at your students’ school? If you haven’t yet, please bookmark and review . Our Communications Department will provide timely updates on this site in the case of any incidents affecting one or more of our schools, such as an earthquake, fire, medical emergency, or security threat. During an incident, our 海棠直播 Unified Emergency Alert System will be activated. In addition to on-campus notifications, emails, and texts, this webpage will also provide updates with critical information to keep you informed.
